myfs_99916
Respected Master Cecil,Please forgive if this question is redundant for you. I am new in this study and very eager to make my house a positive energy house. I am concerned about a couple of things.1.) My house is a period 7 house (built in 1986) and has a NW3 facing position. My Kua number is 4 and my husband is 6; thus we are east and west groups. According to the report that was calculated based on my information, it says that period 7 means prosperity. Since we are entering period 8, does this mean my house charts will change or my house still remains under period 7 (prosperous). Incidentally, we purchased the house in 2000 and did extensive renovations such as floors, kitchen, bathroom, knockout wall between rooms and added pillars, painted main floor, replaced shingles and all windows and doors in the house in that order. These renovations all took place between October 2000 and December 2002 when the last one was done. I believe that since all the renos were done within the period 7 time frame that the house remains in period 7. We have still a few projects to do such as replacing the carpet on the stairs with either hardwood or marble and replacing the asphalt driveway with interlock stones. As these will be done in period 8, will it change the house period or are these not qualifying changes to the house? If we do these renovations under period 8, what will it mean for the prosperity and health of the house and those inside?2.) My second question is about bedroom location. According to my kua, the bad position for my bedroom is West and the master bedroom goes along the whole west side of the house. Is this also the same in Period 8 or do all the readings for Period 7 become voided next month or does the period have nothing to do with my house unless I do construction which brings the house into period 8?.Finally, I was confused about placement of the house in Eight Mansion Feng Shui. It says that once you take the compass reading of facing side (in my case NW3), the north facing house becomes South facing and the south becomes north. Could you clarify this? Does this mean that whatever refers to the north best positions are really the south of my actual house or am i I totally confused? Also, it says that the facing side is not necessarily the front door side. How can you tell? Perhaps you can clarify - my house faces an inside corner so my lot is moneybag or pie shaped (wide end is back yard). I have my street which curves in front of my house and trees on either side of my house at the end of the driveway by the sidewalk. It is a crescent not a through street so cars do not drive through unless they live there. The rooms at the front are the living room, powder room, and office. The rooms at back of the house are family room and kitchen (which is horizontally most of the back of the house)and dining room is vertical to kitchen on right of house between kitchen and office. Directions given when standing at doorway looking into the house. My backyard has an interlock patio and lots of evergreens in the middle and fruit trees to left side and right sides. It backs onto a road with traffic lights (of course beyond my fence). There are patio doors leading to back yard from both family room and kitchen. To the left and right of my house there are houses. Based on this would you know whichside I should consider my true facing side?So sorry to be so long and descriptive. I will be very grateful for any help you provide. This is very confusing for a "newbie" like me.Much respect and regards,Sylvia
