Dear Alice,
This is based on the Water Classics which states that:
1. Yin water is where water at the frontage of a home flows from right to left of a home.
2. Yang water is where water at the frontage of a home flows from left to right.
Here, water can be in the form of natural water, roads, drains etc....
Therefore, in the traditional Water Classics, the above is the way Yin or Yang water is suppose to flow.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

Dear Alice,
1. Yang Water usually refers to the use of real water like Water fountain or fish tank.
2. Yin Water usually refers to placing 6 coins into a 1.5 litres plastic bottle like an empty bottle of coca cola / pepsi etc.
3. Here firstly 6 coins is placed into this plastic container and plain water is poured full into the container and the bottle cap is closed. This is place at the specific corner.
Hope that helps.
Warmest Regards
Robert Lee

Does yang water mean
activator/energizer? Is a
piece of natural crystal with
rolling crystal ball (by water
force) on top considered a
form of yang water feature?

In a Feng Shui audit of say, a landed property, it is also good to take note that one of the water dragon concept is that:

Yin water is actually drainage or even a river flow of water from right to left of a home's main enterance. While Yang water is water flowing past the main door from left to right.

In modern times, it can also mean vehicles travelling on the road or highway in-front of our home.
