myfs_101942
Hi,I am new to this, though I have done a lot of reading on Feng Shui to give me the fundamentals. I love your site.I am building a new property and in the stage of reviewing the architect's plans. Your advice would be greatly appreciated by a humble learner whose ignorance of feng shui I am sure played a large part to do with my bad luck over several years (just looking over my past properties it had everything wrong with it, just from pure form school)I am gua 7 and my house and main door (situated in middle of the house) is facing NW3 (good feng shui I presume). My question is:(1) The North sector (situated on left of the house looking at the house from outside) is the disaster sector for me (from 8 House method). The flying stars in this sector are 2,4,4 (mountain, base, water), not very auspicious I assume. It would have been very convenient for me, from the architect perspective, if I could have my study in this area, with a guest bedroom above also in this sector. However, this is bad feng shui, am I right? How could I prosper in a Disaster area even though it would make life much easier for me to use this sector to locate the study. My intended solution: to place the staircase in this area thus leaving the north sector essentially free. What's your view on this. It's a waste of space, but it could be a nice feature of the house. (2) If I do this, that leaves me the question of where to place the study. As I want to enjoy the view from the front, I could place it in the West sector (on right hand side looking at the house). This sector is 'excellent' for me from 8 House method, but appears not particularly auspicious from the Flying School analysis (flying stars, 5,7,7 (mountain, base, water).Should I go with the 8 house method? As the house and main door is facing the prosperity sector anyway, and as I intend to also use the NW and W sector for the main bedroom, is my preoccupation with resolving the North sector healthy.(3) The East sector I have planned for the living room, but here again there is conflict. From 8 House method this is a very very bad sector, but flying school shows it O.K. (stars 9,6,2). In fact a good part of the living room will also occupy the NE position which is the Longevity sector (also flying stars 4,6,2 with the visiting annual star 8) and the entrance to the living room will fall along the NE line also. So, is the living room located and facing right for good feng shui or is the east element of concern here.Thanking you for your valued attention.Regards,Keith
myfs_101942
Correction:No (2) question should have read 5,1,7 (mountain, base, water) instead of 5,7,7.BTW, is it bad to locate a bedroom in this sector? as the 7 metal controls the bad 5 earth or do I still need to add metal.Apologies for any inconvenience.Awaiting your advice.Keith C
