Dear James,
The developer had adopted "some Feng Shui aspects". In particular, if one looks down into the swimming pool, one sees the profile of some Chinese ancient i-ching coin profile i.e. Chinese coins with square hole, with the blue coloured tiles in the swimming pool.
Sometime back I went to the Block 52 (units facing marking K) Source: http://www.themadeira.com.sg/main_siteplan.html
In particular, I did not like at this facing because of the less than favourable Flying star numbers. As well as overlooking what looks like a "tomb" at a distance away. (Stadium).
Like other condominiums, there are still favourable units. But looks the the better units are taken up. (Especially due to the fact that at the initial launch, it was reasonably priced. What remains are the "left-over" units.
In particular, in my opinion, units that are suppose to be good, and facing the pool / guard room - are under direct west sun. So, these units/ living and some bedrooms can be quite literally "hot".
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
