Dear Cecil,
I just purchased your e-book sets and enjoy the reading very much. I am confused about the eight house, especially "how to find the main door"
Questions:
- If we already know where is our main door, why do we need to identify it? What is the purpose of it?
- When standing in the middle of the house, do we need to buy the eight house compass to identify the main door? The process is unclear to me.
- After finding the degrees on the compass, what do we do with it? How is it related to superposing the compass on to the floor plan?
- My house is rectangular in shape. Do I need to extand the compass to a rectangular shape also ?
Thanks,
Nicole

Dear Nicole,
Glad that you enjoyed the books.
You can read more information from this two reference links:-
1. How to use an ordinary compass
http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-cecilcompass.htm
2. How to draw an Eight House Chart
http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm

purpose of it?

More importantly the facing direction rather than the main door itself. So that you can apply the two compass school concepts (eight house and flying star).

of the house, do we need to
buy the eight house compass to
identify the main door? The
process is unclear to me.

Please refer to reference 1. and 2. above on this. An ordinary compass will do. Please let me know if you are still unclear. Simply provide us with your layout and we can assist you on it. We just need the North (0 degree) marking on the layout.

the compass, what do we do
with it? How is it related to

After you found the marking, you can then superimpose the eight house or flying star chart onto your house layout.

shape. Do I need to extand the

also ?

If you can scan or fax it over to us, we can assist on you to find the centerpoint and divide the sector for you.
For international fax, please add country code +65 before our fax number 6482-0570.
Hope that helps.
Warmest Regards
Robert Lee

Dear Robert,
Per your suggestion, please find attached the layout of the house (both first floor and second floor)and a "bird's eye" view of the location of the house.
1) Please help me find the center of the house and define the sectors?
2) The West side of the house has a creek running nearby , separated by a road and beyond the creek are mountains. Please give comments / advise on the location of the house in relationship with the creek and mountains.
The head of the house (male)has a fire element and I (female) have the water element.
3) As I mentioned to you, I have problems understanding how to define the facing of the house, using the compass. I would appreciate if you can tell me the facing of this house, based on the attached floor plan.
I found being fascinated by Feng Shui while reading the e-books purchased from you. I hope I can better understand the priniciples, using the application of my house,, and your help, of course!
Thanks,
Nicole
