2). If my front door is on the extreme NW sector of my house, where can I place an aquarium? If I am rearing 9 gold fishes, must one be black coloured?
3). How far must the windchime be from the window of a room and also the main door?

Frankly, I personally feel that plants are ok. I feel that this is kind of a hearsay information. Since miniature bamboo is very popular today: very easy to maintain or nearly no maintenance at all - since it can strive on just a layer of water - easy to fill the container.
Look at it this way, cactus have torns so even more "pointed" than this tiny plant.

If you are simply looking at it from a Shapes and Forms perspective, than often, it should be placed in the living room - "to be enjoyed".
For Flying Star Feng Shui sectors that has water star #8 *current wealth sector* or water star #6 (metal sector) or water star #7 (neutralising this bad #7).
The above are possibilities.

Usually, it should chime around that area. There is no fixed distance. For example: 33.3 cm from the door etc...
