myfs_102752
Hello Master Cecil,I recently painted the walls of my room with a blue green color and the cabinets with streaks of avocado green and cobalt blue colors. When my dad saw the room, he got quite disturbed since he told me that my bedroom is seating on the south and therefore it will create conflict. However opposite to his, my thinkingwas that blue green is the perfect color theme since it represents wood and therefore wood produces fire. And since we are both born on an earth day and both of us lack the element offire, the blue green theme will greatly benefit us. Am I correct? However he disagreed with mebecause according to himblue green representswood and wood disturbs earth.IF so how do I cure the problem what do I need to put ? Im really new at these things and I seriously need help...Thank you so much for your time.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 20, 2004 Staff Share Posted April 20, 2004 Dear Anon,I believe there are two sides of the "coin":1. Usually, on one side of the coin, even if we are correct, the person who owns the house has a major say or decision.2. In my opinion, to equate South = fire element is quite a raw analysis. And therefore, should not be relied on totally.3. Under the Traditional Feng Shui, when painting a room, it is based on two steps:3.1 Flying Star of that specific sectorUnder the Flying Star theory, it does not mean that South = fire and fire is at this sector. Contrary to this, it is best to look at the relationships of all three elements : MS # with WS # with Base #. And work out what is the element either absent or should be avoided at this sector.3.2 Only after determining - under Para 3.1, can we proceed to see if we can match the Ba Zi auspicious colours for the person staying in this room. For example, after analysis the Flying Star of this room, it was found that e.g. this room could have MS#3 with WS#3 (both bad wood) with Base #1. In such a situation, we can than say that green is inauspicious since, #3 x 2 are bad wood elements. Thus coincidentally - match your dad's fear of using green, here. Not just because south = fire.3.3 What is your element and strength?Frankly, it is not just good enough to say that your element is "earth". but whether is it BIG EARTH or small earth? If you are a big earth element or strong earth element, then your favourable colours are:-Metal (white or gold), Water (blue, black or grey)and Wood (green or brown)But if you are a Weak Earth person, then the best auspcious elements for you are : 1. Fire (red, pink or purple). 2. Earth (yellow, cream or beige). The above is often the method used to deduce the final analysis on whether a colour suits one or not.As mentioned above, if your dad seems to reject your colours totally, then, if he owns the home, it is best to accept his decision. What is more important is the area of "Man or human " luck must be in harmony. It is no point having good Earth (feng shui luck) but at the expense of human luck such as getting into quarrels or fights or disagreements.Warmest Regards,Cecil Lee Quote On 4/20/2004 3:22:27 AM, Anonymous wrote:Hello Master Cecil,I recently painted the wallsof my room with a blue greencolor and the cabinets withstreaks of avocado green andcobalt blue colors.
