alvinong
Hi,I lived in a public apartment block. Recently, I noticed that my neighbour block has it corner pointing directly at my main entrance door.I have thought about using the Pakua to counter this but I could not locate a place to hang the mirror. If I stand to left or right side of the door, the poison arrow will not be visible. To hang it on top of the door, the mirror will not be able to fully reflect the poison arrow. A full view of the poison arrow can be seen by stand at the center of the entrance. Is it effective if I am to make a strong bracket mounted rigidly to the door-frame and has the Pakua hang on it?Is there any other way of countering this poison arrow beside the Pakua or cannon? I could not plant any thing in front of the door as it is a common corridor. My apartment is sitting 58 deg and facing 238 deg, age 7 apartment and the main door is facing North-East direction and I am a yang metal person.Appreciate your advise.Thank you. Administrator
Dear Alvin,In your situation, there are a THREE other alternatives other than using thepakua:-1. If your main entrance is `ground level' with the exterior, you can useeither (a). a semi-circle carpet i.e. have it `radiate' outwards or (b).permanently tile it on the ground. In addition to this, it should have`spokes' radiating out of the carpet e.g. like the rays of the sun. This issymbolic of a Chinese curved knife (without the handle).2. If there are a few steps that you need to climb inorder to get to themain entrance. Here, you can also use semi-circular steps which act as shownin para 1 above.3. Tilt the main door to a position that is favourable to your 8 housetemplate. This kills `two birds with one stone' but if you do so, pleaseseek the assistance from a Feng Shui Master to do so.Regarding your question on the Pakua:-You should hang it in the middle above the main entrance door. Yes, you canmount a bracket to the top door-frame.Hope that helps.CecilPlease see my comments below:------Original Message----- Quote From: "Alvin Ong" I lived in a public apartment block. alvinong
Hi Cecil,Thank you for the speedy reply.I seek some clarification to your suggestions. My unit is located on the 13rd floor of the apartment block. Regulations do not allow occupants to shift their main entrance door neither are raise steps allow at the exterior of the entrance. Is it effective to put the semi circle carpet at the exterior of the entrance even if the poison arrow is NOT visible at "ground level"?If the Pakua is hung above the door, the poison arrow will be reflected only partially. Can it still deflect the "Sha Chi"?I intend to mount the Pakua below the door-frame with a solid bracket and the height is high enough such that it will not hinder any human movement in and out of the main door. Is this method acceptable?A Thousand Thanks for your assistance.
Administrator
Dear Alvin,I need to clarify with you. Earlier, I was not aware that your unit islocated on the 13th floor. You mentioned that there is a neighbour's poisonarrow. When we consider a `posion arrow' for an apartment block, the sharppoint should be the same level as your apartment. Can you clarify the above? I need to find out more before going in depth oradvising you whether it is or not necessary to implement a `cure' for thesituation.Generally, the pakua is used as an `offensive' tool in Feng Shui to cure apoision arrow. A " milder " but equally effective method is to use asemi-circle carpet or even specially designed floor tiles designed in asemi-cirlce on the floor. Plus you still need to add designs e.g. the raysof the sun `pointing' outwards or like spoke wheels, pointing outwards onthe design of the carpet or floor tiles. The semi-cirlce carpet for example need not be at the eye level or " abovethe door " to be effective. Once it is placed on the floor it is theequivalent of or offers the same `protection' as a pakua hung above thedoor. Hope this helps. alvinong
Dear Cecil,My apology for not providing a clear description of my problem. My unit is located on the 13rd floor of a 16th level high apartment block. The poison arrow I am referring to comes from the corner of a neighbouring apartment block of the same height situated about 30 meters away from my apartment block. Immediately outside my unit is a common corridor which is used by all residents occupying units on the same level to have assess to stairways and passengers lift. Along the corridor, there are these window-like openings that allow one to have a view of the surrounding areas and neighbouring blocks. One of these window-like openings is situated directly in front of my main entrance and the corner of the neighbouring apartment block can be seen pointing directly at my main entrance if I am to stand at the center of my doorway. Is my situation "bad"?Are the "cure" you decided so far effective enough for my case? Thanks for the advice so far. Quote On 1/30/99 11:44:27 AM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Alvin,I need to clarifywith you. Administrator
Dear Alvin, Quote My apology for not providing a clear description of my problem. It is no problem as we are corrresponding by e-mail and not on-site:) Pleasesee reply below:- Quote My unit is located on the 13rd floor of a 16th level high apartment block. The poison arrow I am referring to comes from the corner of a neighbouringapartment block of the same height situated about 30 meters away from myapartment block.Immediately outside my unit is a common corridor which is used by allresidents occupying units on the same level to have assess to stairways andpassengers lift. Yes, if you confirm that when you stand directly at your main entrance andthere is a poison arrow `cutting' your main entrance, then, there is sha(poison arrow). Quote Are the "cure" you decided so far effective enough for my case? Yes, my advice will be effective for your case. Alternatively, if theManagement of your building could say install a `blind' on the window, thenyou do not need the `cure' as it will not affect you. Alternatively, ifhoweever, if " sun-x " or a `relective film' (on the side of the windowfacing the poison arrow (to reflect it `back') is used, you do not need thecure. If that particular location faces the west sun, maybe you couldconvince your building management to install it:)Cecil Lee -->
Staff Cecil Lee Posted September 17 Staff Share Posted September 17 How to take a proper photo The importance of understanding the proper techniques for photographing potential poison arrows, which can aid in their identification and analysis. WRONG! The incorrect method of photographing a lamp post can lead to misinterpretations regarding its classification as sha qi or a poison arrow. Accurate assessment requires proper techniques to ensure reliable conclusions. W +++ CORRECT! To capture an effective photograph of the home, position yourself directly in line with the lamp post. This alignment will enhance the composition and focus of the image. The main point of the above illustration is to stand at a specific location, X, from which one should stand to capture a photograph of the lamp post, referred to as O. This instruction emphasizes the importance of positioning for effective photography. Excellent Shots!
