Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 13, 1999 Staff Share Posted August 13, 1999 Hi,The practice of placing the fish tank at window is an acceptable practise. However, you must leave a reasonable gap e.g. 6 inches from the wall. The above practise is very common when there is a street lamp outside the window *slicing* thru the window. As the street lamp to some practioners represent a Fire element, the water is used to cool it down or neutralise it.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 8/12/99 11:24:19 AM, Anonymous wrote:Dear robert and cecil,I have a small fish tank inthe living roomagainst a wall but it has awindow next to itIs it bad to have a windownext to a fish tank. Monica
Anonymous and Cecil,I'd like to add something here. If you have a fish tank against a window, it tends to bring in too much light and the water turns green very quickly. The cure for this is to be sure to use the light in the tank rarely, and put in an algae eater to eat the excess!Monica Quote From: "Listmanager" Reply-To: "Free Advice (General Topics)" To: (Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed)Subject: Fish tank close to a windowDate: Fri, 13 Aug 1999 08:20:46 +0800From: "Cecil Lee" This message is sent from "free-advice" Mailing List.Hi,The practice of placing the fish tank at window is an acceptable practise.
