Hi there! I live in the Southern Hemisphere and I have a large amethyst crystal bowl (60cm round and 40cm deep) I wish to place it under a Frangipani tree, in the middle of my back garden as a water feature facing the house. The back garden fence faces North East, the crystal would have it's back to the fence. Is this a good position? Is there anything I need to keep in mind when placing this crystal.

Regards....Judy

Dear Judy,

Generally, in order to fully know where you should be activating the water position in the home, it is best to use tools like flying star analysis to conduct a full audit so that you can find where are the current and future auspicious stars where it will benefit from having a water feature. So please note here that any advice provided here is based on general shapes and form concepts without considering other factors.

1. Ideally, any water feature should be located at the frontage of the house where possible. This is because whatever your frontage is that should be the clear space where under the Four Symbolic animals, it is the pheonix sector where the bird may fly freely in the open space.

2. The next place that is often good to place the water feature where say the backyard has a sloping hill. Such a sloping hill will often cause wealth to flow from the high grounds to lower grounds. So such a position is also good for placing water feature so that you can trap the wealth before it flows to another house lower down the hill.

3. The next would then be the living room balcony frontage especially in apartments where the main door entrance may be on the opposite side of the house. For landed property, this will often be the garden area.

From what you have provided so far, it would be that the water feature will be located in the garden, so it should generally be ok. As for the use of amethyst crystal bowl it should not be an issue. Justtry toremember some of these tips:-

1. For garden it is always good to have some water feature. The only issues will probably be how big or small. The water feature should not be too big in a small garden or too small in the garden otherwise it won't look nice in a garden.

2. The water feature should also have sufficient water flow so that there is moving water which helps to create negative ions (which is good for the environment) as well as create the nice water flowing sound just like if you were in the forest.

3. Whatever feature you put it, should be nicely decorated so that it will if possible contain all the five elements (ie rocks -

earth, round fountain base -
metal, fountain water -
water, plants -
wood, and even some light -
fire). Often a good water feature / pond will have all these elements which makes it very nice to look

Hope that helps.
