This is because the overall effort and hassle to effect a name change can sometimes make it not worth the while. Especially, if the name luck isn't going to be that very much better.In order for a name change to be fully effective, you need to have as many people (especially your friend / relative) know about this name change so that they will officially be calling and using your new name. If they still call you by your old name, then you will not be able to benefit from this luck. This is the most important of all. If your new name isn't being used, then you will not be able to benefit from the new name.Other than that, you just have to legally update all documents that have your old name to be in your new name.
