Hi, I'm a yin-earth 'dragon' born in the year of the cock 10pm 16th April 1969. I understand, using five element theory, that metal exhausts earth. Therefore on a subconscious level, I shouldn't be
attracted to it. But metal is one of my favourite elements.
No one has put social pressure on me to like these materials or elements, and I'm at a loss to explain why, if I'm an 'earthling'
that I should be attracted to elements that are bad for me.
The only thing I can think of is for 28 of my 30 years I've lived in a house that is primarily made of wood. Would I have been attracted to metal, because metal destroys wood (and wood destroys earth) hence the
metal would destroy the wood, thus making things better for me as an 'earth' person.
If you could enlighten me on this subject I would be greatly appreciative.
Fraser

ANSWER: Hi Fraser, based on the birthdate above, you are yin metal(day pillar)unless I calculated it wrong. This is the pillar I came up with:
Year- yin earth Rooster
Month-yang earth Dragon
Day- yin metal Rooster
Hour-yin earth Pig
I assume that you're looking at the month pillar hence, your assumption of earth element. You need to look at the day pillar which in your case is Metal.
You are extremely strong metal person with lots of resources(earth). There are pillars that are impossible to balance. In that case, the chart becomes follow the strength type. Earth and metal are favorable while wood and water are unfavorable. This is why you are attracted to metal. One way to verify this is if you have done anything that's earth/metal related and outcome is successful. Hope this helps.
