Hi Master, currently thekuan yin altar at myliving room is placeddirectly facingone of the bedroom's entrance(about 3.5m away). When bedroom door is open fully, it also faces the bedroom's set of windows which looks out to a roundabout driveway (we are staying at ground floor where there isan alighting porch for cars just outside our flat). At night, the headlights from any cars going into the driveway roundabout will shine towards the altar. Is it ok?? Read in one of the threads that altar should not face bedroom door? Is there any reason?Rolling Eyes

Altar has several ruleset where is should be placed facing. Facing the bedroom is one of them, simply because the altar will be looking at the people in the room (especially when one's change clothes). Just not so good. Which is why not advisable. In our talk, we always like to add this joke "ie. if the altar face the bedroom, after a while it might develop have some red eyes".

Just keep thedoorclose, thenthe light will not be able to shine into the altar. Otherwise, unless there is a better location to place the altar. Guess, there is not much else you can do in this case.

Hope that helps.

Warmest Regards
