Could not find any discussion on traveling in different directions and how that effects us. Specifically traveling to country or a city which is in direction of ones death direction.

For instance, if one is traveling to a country or a city which is south east from the point of departure and south east direction happens to be one's death direction, shold one do something to prevent negative influences.

Also are there any rules onspending time away from home, on birthdays or change of the yearin city or a country which is in ones death direction, relative to home.

Would that fact negatively influence ones whole year.

thanks

Generally, most people do use this travelling information in this way. I mean to get from one place to another by car or plan, there can only be a certain direction you can travel. So if you follow it strictly like South is Death, that means you completely avoid South. But what if South is the only way to get to your destination? So this is not practical and that is why you do not see anyone following this strictly by the book.

Furthermore, for the Eight House direction such as Death or Diaster or any of the 4 good and bad direction. It is used more for permanent placement for desk/office/bed etc and used more commonly in micro level (ie smaller scale application within the room or office. We do not use it in the macro level like travelling.

Even in the Ba Zi element and direction. Say you are a weak Wood person, and Water element (North is better). It will denote that staying say in the Northern country in the World map would be better than say staying in Southern country in the World map. Or say in Singapore. Staying in North (ie Yishun) might be better than say South (City). This is what most people use the direction.

Like I mentioned, we do not use feng shui this way. At most, some people might pick more auspicious dates before they travel etc. But that is about it.

Hope that helps.
