Directional Placement of Wooden Buddha Statues

Hello Experts..

Would you be kind enough to advise me on the correct directional placement of small Buddha statues. I have a wooden one 6 inches tall in my study and several smaller jade statues around the house. My house faces due north, as does my study. I live in the southern hemisphere.

I have been told this affects many aspects of our existence. Is this true? I almost have no money and I am told this will assist in creating wealth if the statues are facing the correct direction.
