Used yellow metal hanging object for Five Yellow

Hi

I have been using a hanging object to combat the Five Yellow for the past 2 years. It consists of a big yellow round metal piece at the top with the Chinese words "Luo Zi" or "Zi Luo" and 6 metal coins in a row at the bottom.

Can I still continue to useitthis year, i.e. 3rd year, by hanging in the West of the house? If so, must I first of all cleanse it with something?
