myfs_119985
Dear Masters, in regard toprotruding wall, i found a suggested cure for on the internet. It is by adding struts/ wooden pieces to act as support. What is your view on this method? Please advice on this. I have attached a simple pic to illustrate what i mean. Thanks Warmest Regards, Andy
Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 27, 2006 Staff Share Posted July 27, 2006 Dear Andy,An Advance Search for "beam" under this forumit will yield:-Posted in: Info :: Photo Tours of Interest (Pictures)Posted on: Fri, 11 Feb 2000, 20:42 PM, I have extracted the link from this old resource (Feb 2000 & later 2002):-http://forum.geomancy.net/upload/support-struts.gif(Many modern homes use the gypsum cornice and extend these struts to look more natural or blend in by widening it as shown in your attachment. This is fine or OK)http://forum.geomancy.net/upload/support-bamboobeam.gifhttp://forum.geomancy.net/upload/bambooflute1.gifhttp://forum.geomancy.net/upload/bambooflute2.gifThe above are generally the three most common methods of "holding" up the protruding beams. If one has the time, go to the conference: Photo Tours of Interest and check out the above and two more articles on the above "beams".Anyway, if one is not standing or sitting under it for 2 hours per day per year, is no issue.Warmest Regards,Cecil
