myfs_122340
Help me build a better study room fficeffice" /> Hello everyone my name is Jack. I just notice this Feng Shui recently and I just thought maybe this is the key to the problem I have been having for a while. I am still a student in university and I usually use my computer to study, but I have been having some concentration problem for a while now, it seems that I can seat down at my desk and study. I always lose my concentration that I would interpret my mental thoughts. I don?t fall sleep, I just can?t seat down and concentrate. And I hope anyone with some knowledge about Feng Shui can help me to arrange my furniture. So here is the layout of my bedroom. In my bedroom I have. 1. a single size bed, 2. a desk and usually a laptop computer on top of it, 3. a book cabinet, 4. a small TV cabinet (can get rid off if necessary) 5. a build in closet, 6. a exercise equipment. 7. a night cabinet 8. a big walkout window facing east. To a (9) baloney I live in a condominiums second floor, my bedroom is facing east Here is the picture of the arrangements I have right now. http://img150.imageshack.us/my.php?image=layouthv4.jpg I appreciate in advance any help. Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 27, 2006 Staff Share Posted July 27, 2006 Dear Jack,Feng Shui can help in two situations:1.Apply the Eight House Theory: Best study directions and Best bed-head directions (for sleep)2. Yin & Yang; Yang & YinMany other situations may have to do more with the food you take, your current "stress-levels"; "support-group" etc...1. Try to generateyour own personal Eight House chart to see where your best work directions are. If possible, but taking into consideration; the bedroom layout plan; you should try to sit facing agood direction for study. It is also nice to have the bed-head facing towards a good direction. But often, like the layout plan that you had sketched out, usually it is much harder to place the bed-head.Based on your layout plan, there is I believe some room to try to manouvre yourstudy table to a good direction (again, nice to have). You can goto: http://www.geomancy-online.com 2. Yin & Yang ConceptSince you do not have the luxury of having two separate rooms i.e. one for sleep the other for work, then like most people, have to work around this. For example, if it is time for study, make sure that the room is bright (yang) and all your study items placed closed-by.When it is time to sleep, you could perhaps draw down the curtains or make the room "cosier" for rest.As mentioned above, room layout and placement are based on Feng Shui. But in addition, there are other factors like good health (exercise) and in my opinion, it is very effective to have a good "study-buddy" group to encourage us as well as give us some "discipline".Wishing you success in your studies!Warmest Regards,Cecil
