Hi, My house is situatednext toan estate where there is a lake (natural lake, not man made), but the lake is at the back of my house rather than in front. Though there isa block of land seperating myhouse from the lake(currently empty land belong to someone else who plans to build a house on it). In other words, there is my house, behind it is a block of land (there will be a house on it in the future), then behind the block, there is the lake. Is this still bad feng shui? If so what remedy are there that I can take to counteract it?

The house front door faces NE, and the house actually sits lower from the front street (it slopes down from entry). I have a fairly big front garden area currently with palm trees and garden bed and a curved pathway leading to the front door of the house. There is a park on the right hand side(West or SW)of the house, which is sepearted by a footpath. Carport is at the NW sidein front of the house (offset to the left).

The backyard is small with paved area and a small lawn area at the South corner. The back of the house is a fence so there is actually no view.

I have a feeling that there is bad feng shui there...please help. suggestions on remedy appreciated. Thank you!!!

J

Dear Anon,

Frankly, firstly, it is difficult to comment based only on a simple description.

From what I can understand, it is quite common to have a situation such as yours. And one should not automatically have a pre-mature conclusion that what you are facing is "bad".

If you are very very concerned, and may not have the expertise, then see if you can employ a competent FS practitioner to review your home Feng Shui.

In Feng Shui, the way each home "interacts" with each other can have or may not have an influence on your existing home.

In addition, Compass School Feng Shui (Flying Star and Eight House) should be applied to give a bigger picture of the entire situation (good or bad).

Warmest Regards,
Cecil
