Hi

we just bought an apartment and we have a probably with the front door. It is facing the neighbours front gate. We have a gate that leads to two doors. It is like a t junction with the main door to living room on the left and the back door to the kitchen on the right. We have to enter the gate which is SE facing and facing the neighbour's front gate and then turn left to our main door which is facing north east but facing the back door (we have to take 3 flights of stairs up to reach the backdoor.) So what is the general orientation of the house in this case? The main bread winner is a West (no 7) person and SE is not a good direction for him.He is born in the year of the fire horse(1966). From our layour plan it seems that we have a missing corner in the West & North West sector (Ifwe take the SE direction as our main entrance- is this detrimental to the owners? Can we fix these? When we enter our living room we have a full height bay window overlooking landscape garden outside(SW facing)directly opposite the main door - is it a good idea to put a water feature infront of this window with water flowing inwards?

Dear Samsiah,

Usually, to analyse the entire apartment complex then, it would probably have to be the front door (facing the neighbour's front gate).

But if you are trying to analyse your apartment, then; for high floors or high storeys 8th storey and above, then it is often the frontage of the apartment or often the living room area or the facing direction where you have the most windows and/or balcony. If your apartment is often 7th storey and below, then often, it should be the main entrance to your unit.

As the rest of your question seems more like doing a full audit, sorry this forum is about clarifications or a catalyst to your understanding of how to.

Warmest Regards,
Cecil
