Calculating lunar age

Hi

My date of birth is 22nd March 1979, i have been trying to calculate my lunar age but just cant, pls help, i was born in new delhi,india.

This really depends on when you consider as a year has passed.

ie. do you count 1 year as ofyour next birthday (ie 22nd Mar 1980 = 1yr)?

The least confusing way is always use your next birthday (be it english/lunar calendar). As of 8 Nov 2006, you should be 27 years old based on your english birthday. Your Lunar Birthday 24th day 2nd 1979. So you have pass 24th 2nd 2006 (23rd Mar 1980), you will be 27 years old.

ie. there is another more confusing method is by the new year. That one can be a little tricky, which can add or minus 1 yr depending on the date you count until.

But it is safe to use the above method by considering the lunar age based when you have pass the next birthday.
