Can I prevent from flying to Period 8?

I am keen to buy a 10 year old condo unit and would like to redo the entire kitchen and bathrooms. By doing this, I understand that the apartment will fly from period 7 to 8. The problem is, the unit number is good for period 7 but bad for period 8.
Period 7 : Prosperity, good wealth.
Period 8 : Vomiting.
Is it possible to prevent from flying to period 8? Please advise. Thanks.

Usually, once you have any major renovation, it will usually automatically fly over to the new luck period. So, in your case, it may be difficult to retain the existing period.

In fact, in such cases where you plan to have major renovations, you should be looking for a house that has good period 8 house luck rather than a house that has good period 7 house luck.

Furthermore, once a house is old, there will definately be future repair work which needs to be done. Which makes it even harder to retain the existing luck. So it is better to look for a period 8 house, if you plan to have major renovation.
