myfs_125439
My front door faces a flight of steps going up and then directly down to my backdoor - I hung a metal windchime outside my front door to mitigate. I also try not to use my front door as best I can. However, my chime is making a lot of noise and I am afraid of disturbing my neighbours (I live in a patio home) so I stuff each chime with some cotton to stop the ringing.... please help - is that ok? How else can I 'cure' my front door facing stairs/to back door ailment? Thank you so much!!

How else can I 'cure' my front door facing stairs/to back door ailment? Thank you so much!!The problem is the Qi leak directly out the door as well the sha qi from the flight of steps. The Qi leak to the back door can be solved by keeping the door close and ensure the door do not contain any see through window design.I do not believe that the wind chime would be the best solution for this problem. Like you mentioned, it is noisy. The best solution is to kind of screen/parition to block the Qi from going straight through from the door to the back of the house. So the more appropriate solution is to have a partition that blocks this qi leak, either before the stairs. But I am not sure if you really have space to install this just before the stairs. If not, another way is to have some kind of screen door before your door, or a kind of wooden garden fence thatcrawling plants creap andclimb on to installed at the patio before your door. This will block some of the qi leak. Also, it looks nice to have greenery at the frontage.Hope that helps.Warmest RegardsRobert LeeGEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
