We lived in a HDB flat andbought the access area. The wooden door faces East but the gate faces South. Which direction does my house face? Do I go according to the door or gate? Appreciate your advise.

Can you confirm what level is your unit? This affects which the facing direction to take.

For 2nd - 7th level, you should take the main door facing.

For 8th level and up, you should take the living room and balcony facing.

If your flat is above 8th level, then you just need to take the living room and balcony.

If your flat is below 7th level, then you will have to worry about this question. In general, we mostly consider the main door into the house as the entrace to the house. But sometimes, it also may be the gate depending on the situation.

Anyway, first determine if yours is above 8th level, if it is, then you do not have to worry about this question.

Master Robert.

Thankyou for your guidance. I lived on the 3rd floor. The gate is in the direction of the cooridoor while the wooden door looks out to a "window". Have sketched the house plan so it's clearer. Pls pardon me for the poor drawing. In red is my alter.

Generally, the main wooden door be the main door, because that is where your unit number is located there.

Unless of course, you move the door to the gate door and theunit nnumber is moved there, then the gate becomes your facing.

Hope that helps.
