Orientation of house VS birth year

Hi

Just wondering if someone know the answr to this one. I was born in 1966 and my wife in 1968. We are born in SEA but now live in Perth Australia (Southern Hemisphere). We found out that our lucky directions are opposite of each other from reading feng shui books.

At present our house fronts South East and back is towards North West. My luck while living in this house has been OK. I have recent bought another block of land with the front facing NW and the back toward SE and is now drawing up plan to build a new house there to live in. Since booking the block of land and making all the plans for building about 2 weeks ago, I felt my luck has left me and I have been faulty at work and getting into bigtrouble. Could this be the new land &house that is bringing me all this ill effects. If it is, can someone please tell me if there is cure because I cannot cancel my building plans anymore at this stage.
