myfs_127282
In choosing chinese name, do we use the traditional strokes or simplified version? Can anyone tell me if there's any book or directory with list of chinese characters and the number of strokes?
Staff Robert Lee Posted April 13, 2007 Staff Share Posted April 13, 2007 Dear Anon,Anonymous wrote:In choosing chinese name, do we use the traditional strokes or simplified version? In the chinese name analysis, we use the traditional name stroke rather than the simplified name stroke. So if the character you are using is simplified, you need to first check if there is a traditional form. Then use the traditional form. The reference of name stroke is available as a reference in some of the chinese name books.Different chinese name books will give you different reference chart. Alternative, if you have a Kang Xi Traditional dictionary, that character stroke defined in the Kang Xi Traditional Dictionary is what most authors use as the right character brush stroke.Hope that helps.Warmest RegardsRobert LeeGEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui.
