Dear Cecil,

I need advice on where to star first. My condo faces SW which is Earth and the annual star is 8 which is also Earth, and the monthly star for April is 6. The no 6 star is a white star which is metal. That I have no problem (Ithink) as all are auspicious star. However My room is in the South sector which is Fire, annual star which is 6 - Metal and monthly star is 4 - wood. I am a Metal person. Does that mean that I cannot sleep in this room??? I am not sure which to follow. It's hard to apply FS especially when u have to consider the annual, monthly and our own ba zi. Guess that is why we need to pay experts like u to settle our doubts. Anyway Hope to receive your enlightment soon.

Regards,

JW

Actually, it is impractical, to apply monthly flying star luck changes each month. At most, you fine tune to upto yearly is still fine.

Most of the time, the most important is to balance up the stars based on the 20-year chart which usually covers most of what influence for that sector. Then maybe factor in the yearly star at the beginning of each year to fine tune some of the sectors.

What we are concerned about is usually where the star 2 and 5 falls each year and maybe some of the other less auspicious stars. The 20-year sector if have a star 2 and star 5 may be further strengthen that year. So additional corrections may sometimes be needed.

So basically, that is all you need to do. No one will really apply changes upto the monthly star. That is more for you to know that within the whole year, which months may need to be extra careful. That is about all.

Having bad stars in a sectors does not mean you can't use that room. As long as you neutralise the effect, you can still effectively use the room.

That is why I say, you just need to do the following:-

1. Find a room that is defined as your favourable direction/sector based on the eight house. This will be a room most suitable for you to use.

2. Neutralise all the bad stars based on the flying star principles, that means if there is star 2/5 in the sector, then you must avoid using bright yellow etc. And/or find the right cure to balance the sector.

3. Next comes your own personal ba zi element colours. Avoid colours that will activate the bad stars, then choose from the remaining colours from your own favourable colour to boost your luck.

Basically, as long as you know how to prioritize which comes first etc, it isn't that difficult to apply feng shui properly and effectively.

Hope that helps.

Warmest Regards
