Hi,
i stay in a corner unit in HDB. Main door face the public corridor, staying in 9th floor. As living room and dining room have windows facing out to play area, gathering area, road, other blocks etc, whereas in door facing direction, the block is not consider the facing (e.g. it is the width of rectangular block, no open windows etc).
Where do i take the exact compass reading from? stand from center of unit, facing the living room window (facing direction of unit) or face the door?
Or stand outside the whole blk, back in the middle of the block, facing the face direction of block?
thanks!

We have this general rule for house facing direction:-

1. Apartments (2nd - 7th level), we take the main door facing direction. ie stand inside your house looking out from your main door.

2. Apartments (8th level and up), we take the living room/balcony facing direction. ie stand inside your house looking out from your living room/balcony.

So in your case, you take the 2 option which is take the house direction from where your baloncy or where most light enters into the house through the living room area.

Hope that helps.

Warmest Regards
