myfs_129751
Dear Robert,4 Pilllars - Strong or Weak? For a female born on Jan 25 her 4pillars ( extracted from this website) are as follows:Hour Day MonthYearyin metal yang fire yang earth yin woodyin wood yang earth yang wood yin earthShe is regarded as a STRONG Fire with favourable elements being Earth& Water, and wood & fire being unfavourable. I presume she is considered a Strong fire because of the many Wood elements in herchartwhich enhance fire. However, Ihave the followingquestions and would appreciate if you could help to clarify:1) Asher self element is FIRE, bornin the 3rd monthof Winter (per lunar calender), when WATER is most prosperousand FIRE at its weakest (put out by water), how can she can be aStrong Fire?2) Being born in Winter when Water is most prosperous and dominates, why does herseason of birthunder the Month pillarearthly branchshowsWood? Shouldn't this be Water insteadwhich was in season? And if so, wouldn't this then make her a Weak Fire? (I have read books which suggested so)As a separate question, as her chart lacks Water Element, presumbaly thisbecomes her most favourable (being most needed) element? Would the hidden element of Water help to balance her chart? (formed by combination of Yang Fire + yin metal in the stem).Thank you.Best Regards,
Staff Robert Lee Posted December 15, 2007 Staff Share Posted December 15, 2007 Dear Anon,Frankly, I did not gave priorityto answer the post as the information provided was incomplete, in order to get the right information, I would have to try and error to deduce the possible YEAR and HOUR information. Anyway, since you repost a recent message to look into it. I will just correct the area you got wrong:-Anonymous wrote:1) Asher self element is FIRE, bornin the 3rd monthof Winter (per lunar calender), when WATER is most prosperousand FIRE at its weakest (put out by water), how can she can be aStrong Fire?Anonymous wrote:2) Being born in Winter when Water is most prosperous and dominates, why does herseason of birthunder the Month pillarearthly branchshowsWood? (I have read books which suggested so)I did not waste time to attempt to guess the exact date of birth. However, since you mentioned she was born in the 3rd month of the Windeter season. Then the season of birth would beEarth element influence and not water element. 1st month Winter - Water2nd month Winter - Water3rd month Winter - EarthYou see there are basically 4 seasons. But there are 5 elements. So the Earth element would be missing if every 3 months is assigned to the Water/Wood/Metal/Fire. But where is the Earth? In fact, every 3rd month of all seasons will thus be theEarth element. This is due to the in-between seasons. So if you mentioned 3rd month of winter, then it is Earth element and not Water element. So the seasonal strength is based on Earth element season and not Water element season. Also, to deduce whether a person is weak or strong, just considering the season's and basic element representation isn't enough. You have to still consider the combinations and clashes that may alter the original element. And then after all those factor are considered. That is why for our report, we considered all these changes then we make out a mathematical formula that will convert it into percentage values. With percentage values of what is the exact element represented, it is very easy to determine if favourable elements vs unfavourable elements is greater. From there, you will know for sure if it is weak or strong. If you do not consider all these factors, it is very easy for you to deduce an inaccurate element strength. In the case of our reports, they are all extensively tested, as such if our free report shows asa Strong Fire, then she is a Strong Fire. If our report shows it as a weak Fire, then she is a weak Fire. The results won't differ from the paid report. Except that we do not show you the exact percentage breakdown which is only available in the paid report. Would the hidden element of Water help to balance her chart? (formed by combination of Yang Fire + yin metal in the stem).Hidden element combinations are usually not strong enough, so we normally do not consider them directly. The hidden element would be most useful in the luck pillar analysis more than your own chart. Usually, once the five element percentage breakdown is determined, we will try to make sure every element is 20%. This means among the favourable element, which element is most lacking would be the most favourable followed by the other element. Then amongs the unfavourable element, the element that is too much must be avoided. While, if the unfavourable element has too little, some of that along with the favourable elements will actually be good.Hope that helps.Warmest RegardsRobert LeeGEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
