myfs_129497
Hi, I'm tring to help my husband's best friend to design a logo for his new company, which is record label firm (related to music, arts and public relations as well). I'd really like to apply feng shui to the logo design, so I made him a free report. The thing is, the results are a bit too complicated to me right now, since I'm just starting to learn feng shui.Male - born: 25 Mar 1975 between 9.00 a.m. to 10.59 a.mWhen I did the PFS-POD, Chinese Horoscope Sign report I found that he is a weak wood rabbit. But, whenI did the Personal Ba Zi / Feng Shui Element Report the resultsshowed that he is a weak metal. So I'm not really sure the results are right or ifI did something wrong...?? I have no clue on what element I should use,so I don'tknow what colors and shapes are the best to use when working on the design. I "think"it should be orange and with rounded shapes, but I'd like to confirm that... I don't want to mess this up!! LOL Please help!! Thanks in advance!!christina. Staff Cecil Lee Posted January 11, 2008 Staff Share Posted January 11, 2008 Dear Chris,You should use the Personal Ba Zi for the design of your husband's logo. As the name "Personal" suggests that it is specific unlike the general Chinese horoscope. Therefore, since your husband is considered a weak metal person, in logo design, best for him to use:-1. water = blue, black or grey and/or wavy shapes or designs2. metal = white, silver or gold and/or circleAny of the above two combinations are good for his company logo. Furthermore, if the industry is music; then para 1 would be good since music comes under the water element i.e. blue, black, grey and waves...(wavy) logoGood Luck!Cecil
myfs_129497
That makes sense!! Thank you!!! Now, I have another related question:I'm also re-designing the logo for the company that I have with my husband. Last year was good for us, but I?d like to give the company a boost this year with a new refreshed image. We moved, so I think is a good momentHe is a weak yangmetal ox(male - born 14 May 1973 - between 5.00 a.m. to 6.59 a.m)Bazi says his kua type is fire / 9 U.Favorable elements: earth and metal.Unfavorable elements: fire and water.I'm a strong yin wood rabbit(female - born 15 Dec 1975 - 12:15 pm)Bazi says mykua type is earth/ 8 - gen.Favorable elements: fire and metal.Unfavorable elements: water and wood. The company(created on march 2006)Areas of expertise:55%- web design, and illustration (arts, media, marketing, fashion).30% -web development and programming (technology, media)10% - graphic design (arts, media, marketing, fashion)5% - public relationsThe current logo is square and lime-green with white text, but is overall green... We always use this logo small in size. Placedin big, clean white backgrounds, aligned to any border of our "canvas".... and we both love it.... but I'm thinking is not balanced if my husband is a weak metal and I'm a strong wood... I guess I should use a metal color, rounded forms, since is the element that is favorable to both, am I correct? What about orange? I think I've read in the posts that it is considered a metal color as well.We also like silver.. the only problem isthat wewill not be able to have a silver logo in our website, which is our main "door/face" to the public, since silver is not a screen color, only for printed materials (which we barely do). If I use silver, it will look grey in the screen(which is not metal but water, unfavorable for both of us), unless I use some kind of effects on it to make it look like it was silver (i.e. Mac logo). Not mentioning that is more expensive to print in silver.. LOLAs you can see, I've been doing my research.. and studying a lot about Feng Shui.. but I still get confused!! Thank you again for your advice and help, we really appreciate it!! christina.fficeffice" />
Staff Cecil Lee Posted January 14, 2008 Staff Share Posted January 14, 2008 I will only clarify a few points. As this is not what the purpose of the forum is about.1. For a Strong wood person, the existing green logo on it's own is considered not suitable for a Strong Wood person.2. However, a squarish logo represents Earth element. And under the Productive Cycle of the Five Elements concept: Earth supports or help Metal (in particular weak metal grow)3. In addition, for a Strong Wood person, I don't see what's wrong with using a squarish logo. As Square logo represents Earth. And imagine a strong tree with strong roots; which digs into the earth to get nurishment.4. Orange under Chinese culture belongs to the metal element. As the phonetic sound-like "gold".For example, Cantonese dialect group call mandarin or an orange " Kum " and in addtion the Hokkien dialect group call it "Kim" which in Hokkien is gold. Thus, soon, when the Chinese New Year comes, many youngsters would visit elderly relatives or their parents home by bringing a pair of "kum" or "kim". Two or a pair is considered auspicious and orange since it is considered as gold - should be considered as belonging to the metal element.Warmest Regards,Cecil
