placement of computer desk

Considering the bagua map, the computer desk is placed in wealth and prosperity area of the living room(fame and reputation area of the house). But the desk is in straight line with the main door of the house as shown in the attachment. I read that the desk should not be placed across the door, would like to know if the above mentioned placement could cause any problems. If there is a poblem,is there any simple way of rectifying like placing something between the desk and the main door. The only other option i have is to place it in the relationship area of the room(as well as the home).Is this is a good option.Also the desk has an attached shelf on it, which can be dettached if necessary. I read that having a shelf over the desk is not good in fengshui, would like to know if having shelf on the desk is ok or not in fengshui.

3. Some Feng Shui books say that open bookshelfs with books in it is like knives or poison arrows.

3.1 In fact, in "Commonsense Approach" to Feng Shui; many of us, when young do have open bookselves or simply books even placed on our study table. But many of us don't have or cannot recall having any issues with it.

3.2 More importantly, open bookselves encourage us to quicky pick up a book to read or refer to.

3.3 I would strongly encourage, those who have young children to have open bookselves especially just around arm's length. This is especially true for school going children; where often, their "semester" books or reference books are within their finger tips. Make it more conducive to study; then to have to open and close a cupboard or slide a cupboard door.

3.4 As mentioned, above, many of us have done it : have open bookselves". Not just because, someone writes that it is bad to have open shelves, we then don't keep up with it.

3.5 Fine, for books that we hardly refer to, if you want to keep it in a cupboard that has doors - go ahead. But for frequently accessed books or materials open bookshelves are fine.

4. Sorry, the "fixed" template type of Ba Gua is not used in this website. As it is not authentic Feng Shui. Such as "fame and reputation" etc...

5. Under traditional Feng Shui, it would be nice for (in this example) this person sits in a west group location and if possible face the west group directions. For example, it would be GOOD if this person, sits in a NW or West or NE or SW location in a home and again nice to have him face a good westerly direction especially NW or West since these two sectors are his : Prosperity / Excellent directions.

6. Thanks for your layout plan. So long as the computer table is not placed with one's back against the main door, this current position, under Shapes and Forms is still OK or acceptable especially if one does not have another better location than this.
