dear masters,
I work in a community team which has been relocated to an old building where instead of desks we have a work top around two edges of the room so 4 of us will have our backs to the door. 3 people will sit in a line facing a wall with 2 large windows and one to the right at right angles, facing the wall. There is only one possible auspicious direction for me to sit facing, that at right angle, side or back to colleagues. I will have a narrow work top against this wall, with little space to work. We all feel very uncomfortable with this arrangement, but have no option to change it. We move in next week. Please could you kindly offer any cures to make us feel more comfortable? I would be extremely grateful as I worked hard to make our previous office a pleasant environment and am really anxious about this move. With best wishes and many thanks, Linda.

Dear Anon,

1. Sitting facing one's good direction is considered as "Nice-to-have" and not a "must-have". Thus, as much as we have read that we should sit facing our good direction, but many of us do not have this opportunity to do so.

One way is to see if possible all four of you can or some of you can sit to beneifit your good directions. It is good to just convey this to your three other team mates whether, they want to consider this option. (It may or may not necessarily work out for all).

2. From what you had mentioned, you have limited space to work on. Given that there is no option to change; frankly, there is no miracle cure in Feng Shui for this. Especially most of us do not really like also to sit with our back against the wall.

Warmest Regards,
Cecil
