Dear Cecil and Robert,fficeffice" />

First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to you both for your website. The advice and free reports have truly provided me with a better understanding of traditional fengshui than any fengshui books I have read. So, thank you both Very Happy.

My husband and I have a land which primarily faces SW and on which we plan to build our new house next year. I am thinking of requesting you to do a fengshui audit on the floor-plan which we will design later. But before I can go ahead with the design, I need to come to a decision (which I couldn?t so far) as to where to place the main entrance door, which will be beneficial to us and our daughter in terms of 8-house and flying-star theories. I need help !!

My initial intention was to design the house according to my husband?s 8 house chart (he?s West-Dui, while I?m South-Li and our daughter is East-Zhen). I have two options:-

(1) I am thinking of placing our front entrance door in SW1, and the side (i.e. through the garage) entrance door in NW1. Both of these doors are in my husband?s good directions, whilst SW-door is in my Irritation-LiuSha, and NW-door is in my daughter?s Spook-WuGui. This seems to me a good compromise since my daughter and I can each use separate entrance doors and avoid the Death-Disaster door.

(2) Alternatively, both front and side-entrance doors can be in the West, i.e. my husband?s Excellent-FuWei direction. Since West is my daughter?s Death-Jue Ming direction, I?m thinking of ?compensating? her with a very auspicious ffice:smarttags" />8-6-8 stars in her East-facing bedroom.

Could you please advise?

Also, I have very limited knowledge on how to interpret the flying-star numbers that can enable me to make an initial basic decision. For example, how bad are 5-9-2, 9-5-7, 5-5-8, 2-8-5 and 8-2-2 as I would like to prevent bad consequence for us in our bedrooms. I imagine that my husband will likely use the side-entrance door more often since he will be driving to work, but will of course still be using the front-entrance door from time to time. I know the most frequently-used entrance door counts in determining the flying-star chart. This adds to my dilemma as I would want to compare the different flying-star charts with different entrance doorand select the best potential combinatioon of Qi for the house as a whole, without compromising the 8-house directions.

I?m indeed a lost FS newbee. Please guide me?Sorry for this lengthy question.

P.S. Also thank you both, to Robert for your help with my login problem, and to Cecil for your sense of humour.

These are some ofthe major Feng Shui considerations:-

1. Check to see if (especially) the direct opposite neighbour's home roof is not like a pointed arrow especially if it suppose to slice thru the proposed new main door of your home and or windows.

2. Also do check for any street lamps or signposts that slices or will slice the main door and or windows.

3. If you are constructing a new home under Flying Star Period 8: then if your home has clear space at the frontage, then a better facing direction is the Flying Star SW1 facing. As there is a water star #8 current prosperity at the facing direction. And there is a mountain star #8 at the back of the house. If the home suits this configuration, then a SW1 facing is most ideal.

3. If the frontage is blocked especially if a two or three storey home facing (yours) then a SW2 or SW3 would be beneficial as there is a Mountain Star #8 at the frontage ....

4. Water existing the home is crucial as usually two sectors are very auspicious water drainage directions and often one is meant for "power and authority" for those staying in a specific landed property.

5. Please take note that changing the door direction to many good Feng Shui practitioners is deemed "temporary" only and the qi effect is not as good as the real qi coming in naturally from the actual facing direction.

6. From a traditional Feng Shui point of view, the male breadwinner's 8 house chart is considered, first - as what you have done. Another form is some Feng Shui practitioners use the person's element and strength to determine the best facing direction or how suitable the direction is. The 8 house chart is acceptable (full stop). And for those who use the ba zi method, is tomany pracititioners as "a finer point" or method. BUT, using both can be "suicidal" for some as these two may conflict and one may be at odd's end.
