myfs_134113
Hello. I have just signed in as a member of your site. I am very interested in practicing feng shui in my life. Actually I have just started reading about it. First and foremost I want to fix is my kid's bedroom. But I have a lot of questions regarding this. Is it really bad feng shui to use a bunkbed or double deck bed? I have 2 kids and I live in HongKong and as you know space is quite limited. Is there any cure for bunkbeds? If so what are these? Can you give me more advice for kid's bedroom? Thank you very much.brgds,Maria
Staff Cecil Lee Posted June 23, 2008 Staff Share Posted June 23, 2008 1. Frankly, one should not be too unduly concerned about bunk beds, for the following reasons:-1.1 If we sleep under a bunk bed, one will notice that it is a a large flat piece above us - usually spring and mattress.1.2 Compare this to a real beam. A real beam is a concentrated piece, usually a supporting beam for a column or structure of a home. It is this concentred beam (usually concrete mixture with supporting steel structure) OR it could be a large wooden beam. 2. For those constantly seating or sleeping under Para 1.2 , should be concerned with.3. Bunk beds have been around for many (many) years. And as you have mentioned Hong Kong and even in Singapore, those with "large" families and even those with small homes do get to sleep on a bunk bed.4. More so, for those who live in domitires especially students living overseas school boarding house. Many of these students, had graduated "despite" sleeping on such beds. So what does this tell us? It cannot be that those sleeping on bunk beds, will have poor school results or worse still "distorted" brains etc....5. Thus, in my opinion, it should be considered as a "myth" and not a norm. I believe, bunk beds, have been around for at least more than half a century or at least 50 or more years!6. Frankly, in Singapore, many of us serve our country's army core and all our army barrack have bunk beds. Does it mean that half or those sleeping on bunk beds... later have some .... screws loose...Quote:Maria Alicia S. wrote:Hello. I have just signed in as a member of your site.
