2 questions about yin, yang and the elements.

Good day, Sirs.
I have a 2 questions:
1. How does one find out weather he or she is more of the yin or yang?
2. Does the month, time, day, and year you were born play a factor in determining your element? I was born in June 5th 1988, and according to research i am under the earth element. However, according to other "experts" i am wood. There seems to be a slight thing ive missed.

1. I don't want to add to the confusion, but, if you are born on June 5th 1988 (no difference between male or female);

You are considered as a : Strong Metal person.
