6 coins to cure sickness star and five yellow star

Hello Cecil,
I've been reading the really old threads and you mentioned that one cure for the sickness star and five yellow star is:
1. place 6 ancient Chinese coins tied with a red string on the wall on that sector.
2. a `simple' 6 coins arranged in two rows x 3 coins is scotched tape onto a red envelope and placed on the curtain (mid-point of the window.

So any of these two ways of arranging the 6 coins will suppress the illness star and five yellow star?

1. The most common method today to supress #2 is as mentioned, below Para 1.

2. For #5 or if that sector has a #5 with #9 with/or #2 or any two or more of these combinations, Para 1. may not be sufficient.

3. Nowadays, hepa cleaners e.g. those quality ones by Honeywell or Sharp with their plasma ion cleaners are even better security against #2 ; #5 respectively. At the time of writing (those donkey years ago as far back as 1999 or earlier, such sophisticated cleaners are often meant only for hospitals or clinics costing as much as $988 dollars. Nowadays, many of these "cleaners" are reasonably priced and even come as part of or built into air-conditioners.

4. Thus it is more worthwhile to invest in these "scientific proven" units than many past practises.

5. As mentioned in several past messages, if one's bedroom is directly above the kitchen or garage, it is better to invest in smoke detectors than hanging say a set of coins. The detector, can safe life as it's siren can hopefully wake one up. While a set of coins, can only melt together with the entire family or person in that specific room.

6. Thus, with the event of better and cheaper "proven" technology, we should try to engulf or use them instead of the old traditional "symbolic" methods. Feng Shui also has to change with times!

Thanks again for your response. I know I've been asking a lot of Qs lately but that's only because I'm a newbie here and I'm learning a lot from reading all the articles and past threads.

In one of the older posts someone asked if she can use aluminum foil circles instead of coins and you replied:

"Either:

1. Cut the aluminum foils into 6 circular discs each without the red paper or

2. Cut the aluminum foils into 6 stars i.e. to `5 pointed star' without the red paper. This option is less advisable as the pointed star is considered `sha qi' to some practitioners.

But both are a `cheap' alternative to the 6 i-ching coins.

So this also another alternative you suggested. Does this have to be gold aluminum foil or will the silver aluminum foil be okay??

Also, what do you think about the 5 Element Pagoda which is usually recommended to suppress ?5 Yellow Star?

Regarding the ions you mention, well, we have an aircon with those ions that supposedly clean the air of the room.

1. It is good to hear u have an airconditioner with the ion cluster (often the settings include "shooting out" all negative ions, or " a blast of positive plus negative ions).

2. Try to go for the modern method. However, if one is concerned with aircon bills, then there are relatively good "air-cleaners". No point having an aircon, with such a feature and if the aircon is rarely use.

3. Imagine, how wonderful it would be like if one can stay near the vicinity of a water-fall such as Nigara falls or Victoria falls. (Not so much of people jumping down them to commit suicide; but rather) the idea of a waterfall is that such "furious" water frictions with the air to create negative ions. And such negative ions, are charged to attract the "bad" positive ions. And for those who have visited a water fall can relatively feel the coolness and in particular the nice smell.

4. Thus, having a air cleaner that dispenses negative ion is the next best thing.

5. All the past messages that you had digged up are really "old symbolic" concepts. Why dwell with the past, "low tech solution" when there are better ones evolving - that are scientific and proven vs.. old sentimental ones...

6. For example, we have using the computing power of servers to generate complexed ba zi ... rather than spent the "stupid " time working them out.. But yet not even close to begin to analyse them!

7. I appeal to you not to drag up all - old and very old stuffs... If you read in-between the "lines" messages in the early 2000's technologies such as hepa cleaners etc... have already being emphasised more and more. And don't waste time buying "rubbish" fake commercial "in-the-name" of Feng Shui products.. inclusive those ridicious "Feng Shui jewellry " and "god given products... "
