This actual bed-head feature wall shows a split exactly at the middle = symbolises "separation"

In the first photo: there are 7 horizontal squares = Odd number of squares. 

While in the second photo: there are four vertical joints. And if one looks close enough, this Red arrow "splits" the bed exactly into half.

This is based only on symbolism. But if one's personal relationship is strong or for some elderly couples who may need orthopaedic beds or beds that can raise the head-rest position; should not be too overly concerned with this.

As In many previous messages: Human or man luck is equally important. As we are on this earth for a short-time....

This is a typical classic American period design pattern.

As there is no symbolic "split" exactly at the middle; it is acceptable.

In the 1970's this type of pattern was very popular. And buttons were added to them... then comes along with the first child.

when the child could stand; the first time he/she may do was try to pluck these buttons!
