myfs_91477
Dear Robert / CecilI plan to do some renovations to my new house next year(2009) and definitely will touch on the entrance at North sector( Star 5)andDining/ garden at Eastsector(San Sar)which are not adviseable for 2009. Is that ok since the new house is empty and we are not staying there yet?. Some of fengshuifriends so ok some say no no. Pls advise . thank you.TC
Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 12, 2008 Staff Share Posted August 12, 2008 1. The concept here is "Feng Shui cannot be done by remote-control".2. Thus it is a good thing that this is a "new" home (be it brand new or resale, does not matter).3. Frankly, so long as one does not stay or (have yet) to stay in a new home, one may consider doing renovations. 4. In fact, there are those who have already stayed in an existing home. And as these people have planned to do a major Additions and Alterations (A & A works) they simply move-out for the duration be it a few months to even a year or more.5. The key consideration is to do:-5.1 First time open door procedure5.2 Start of work procedure 5.3 End of work procedure / Move-in procedureIf the recommended procedures are or were done, then one is considered to have done "their best" to observe "customs" and protocols.More importantly, after the completion of A & A works, try to avoid touching or disturbing those sectors where Tai Sui resides, the 3 killings sector and #5 bad yellow sector of that specific year. myfs_91477
Dear Master Cecil LeeA big thank you so much for your advise. I'm very much please of your reply and it was so fast. May I add a follow up question to your answer. I just plot up a flying star chart and found out that the double 8 sector is at the back of my house (house face 4 degree North), and also one of the toilets is partially located here. Any advice on this please? My house has a small hill at the back and front is gently sloping down to road. TQ
Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 12, 2008 Staff Share Posted August 12, 2008 1. Hopefully, the double #8's at the back is not the toilet or kitchen area else it is wasted, here.2. Some homes have their acitivity area at the back e.g. dining room. If there is some form of living area at the "back" of the home, one can have more activities in this area. Alternatively, allow windows to be opened (provided no rain - leaking into the home). Letting qi or air coming from this area is a good consideration - allow it to circulate into the home.3. Once a while, it is often good to allow qi to or ordinary wind to flow into all parts of the home e.g. open windows or doors every few weeks - is good for qi circulation: avoiding dead / sha qi or suffocating qi. Airing the home is one of the "secrets" to a balanced home. 4. Of course, for those who can afford to turn on air-con, proper maintenance of the air-con is crucial. And air-con circulating within the home/ room or spill over parts of the home is crucial.5. When buying a new home or resale home, it is best to change the air-con units in each room or get the entire all parts of air-con cleaned by specialist.
