Dear Tammie,
Frankly, if anyone ask me 5 or 6 years ago, I may think that way i.e. what you had mentioned.
But since then, I have looked at many homes and do not see a correlation that a noisy place drives off fortune.
However, contrary to this, under Flying Star Feng Shui, if a location has a combination of two specific bad #numbers that needs quiet at a location, then, what you mentioned, holds true.
