Dear Anon,
Please see below:-
>Dear Cecil,
>Seen a dr to dr mid floor unit in >hougang .where the living, balcony and 1 >room window faces a fire station directly. >This fire station is painted red and a >longish signboard is illuminated across >it’s two storey high building. Both the entrance/exit and the fire engines (about 5-10) parked against a see-through wall aimed at the unit. The hall window also oversees a short lane adjoining the main road to the bicycle track.
- In my opinion, it is best if one can not to purchase this house.
- Perhaps, you can also ask the existing owner what is the rationale for them selling the unit.
1. What is your view on the effect of the station & the lane and the unit’s overall feng shui and it’s cure?
Frankly, it is NOT practical to `cure' such a Yang effect coming from the Fire station. Not practical because, one has to literally close the curtains or close the main door most of the time.
2. Will it benefits a breadwinner of weak earth element perhaps needing more fire?
This is to do more with which direction the main door is facing and whether it matches the Ba Zi of the breadwinner.
For example, the bright Red coloured wall of the Fire station is considered a Sha Qi. And frankly, I do not see how it can co-exist with one's element.
Even if one needs `fire' this is not exactly the type of `fire' one wants.
There is a difference between personal enhancement and Sha Qi.
3. What about the effect on the other family members of strong earth and strong wood elements?
As mentioned above, we are talking about two different issues. It is not possible for Sha Qi to work advantages for us.
>Came across another house where the hall window is facing a gap between two blocks immediately opposite it and the gap is closed by another block of flat behind the opposite blocks. Another room on the same side as the hall faces the edge of the same opposite block. Can I suppose that wealth is unable to gather in such house but is neutralized by the fact that the gap is eventually closed two blocks away? What are the other effects and cures possible?
- Frankly, it is difficult to comment on this unless you can draw a proper sketch. As such a judgement involves many factors. This includes the distance between the blocks, the distance between the gap etc..
- Being a west life and a weak earth person, the door faces SE, unfavourable Liu Shai and wood. However, the living, dining and master seems favourable in NE, Nien Yen-Earth, NW, Sheng Chi-Metal and SW,Tien Yen-Earth. Since the maindoor leads to a short passage way and where activities are limited, are the unfavourable effect limited and may not be even of upmost important in this case? I have heard of geomancer that advise on checking on the window facing rather that the door if both the door and window that do not align, please confirm?
The easiest way out is always to use a Luopan and point it to the location with the brightest light that comes into the house.
This is where, it is relatively easy to find the `facing' and `sitting' direction.
However, if one really takes a closer look at the Flying Star chart i.e. a 24 degree increment, one still has to find out exactly the compass direction of the main door.
Taking the easy way out, this is simply based soley on the Luo pan readings.
However, if one wants to take true compass directions, one has to find out the centrepoint of the house. And from this centrepoint determine the exact compass degree of the main door to plus or minus 15 degree increments.
It is fine if the Geomancer provides you with his/her advice based on the luopan.
But if one uses a Flying Star chart with the mathematical formulas on it, one would have guessed that it requires a precise determination based on the compass direction.
For example, take the case of the Eight House Theory. Here, the advise is to take the compass readings from the centrepoint.
Reference: https://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm
If one notice carefully, the centrepoint is usually the location where the centre of gravity is located.
And both Eight House and Flying Star are compass school Feng Shui.
As mentioned earlier, some geomancers, for their convenience, read off from their Luo pan and provide advise (or rough) advise based on it. Some even do not provide you confirmation with tools such as Flying Star chart.
>Does ba zhi feng shui based the good locations on the elements required thereby overriding the rest of the theories like the form school, nine-star ki, eight house and etc. If not, what is the sequence used; like which methods supercedes the other when two theories conflict.
- No ba zi feng shui has to be used in conjunction with Shapes and Forms etc...
The forum and other resources in this site, can provide some clue as to their use. But it is diffcult to list out the exact order. As no two situations are the same. However, roughly, the order is as follows:-
THE HOME/OFFICE
1. Shapes and Forms (external, site, building, home)
2. Eight House Compass School (birth chart of the house)
PERSONAL SELF
1. Eight House
2. Ba Zi
3. Ba Zi Feng Shui
In the forum, I mentioned that there are three easy steps:
1. What is the purpose of each theory
2. What are its strenghts
3. What are its weakness
>In period 8, some direction; North N East are unfavourable. Should one still avoid this even if it is supported well by the five elements and eight house theory? In our case, this should bring harmony within our family, am I right?
- If one is applying Flying Star Feng Shui, then if a house is built under Period 6 or Period 7, the house will continue to remain as e.g. a Period 6 or Period 7 house.
There is really nothing new here. For example, under this current period, a Period 6 house has continued to remain as a period 6 house. (Unless there is a major renovation that changes this to a period 7 house).
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
