Dear Anon,
Stand at the window(s) to see if the tree trunk slices into the home? If no, this is not a threat to your home.
This can be seen as a "commonsense" approach.
Often a dead tree is prone to rot / termites (if any). And because of this issue, it can be considered unhealthy.
