Water need not be running underground but if it is due to leaks which causes `invisible vapours', there is some cause and concern.
It is the `vapours' that one should be more concerned of. Thus vapour, either from underground or leaks that cause the ground to become damp, is said to release `vapours' although, it may not be seen by the naked eye.

Yes, you can sent a scanned layout of where the dampness is. But, it may not be totally possible to see how far it spread.
However, it is still best to determine where the leak occurs and if possible, seal it. If not, try to, if you can, sleep in a location that is free of the damp.
